Bluesound Node n130/Mojo 2/SN2 to Uniti Nova

Seeking thoughts on the above change.

The move would be for simplicity and hopefully better SQ and maybe more boogie (aka PRaT).

Current sound with the Mojo 2 is pretty good. Without it, it’s fine but sounds a bit veiled. However, I really cant be bothered with having to use the SN2 remote to change volume. It’s not convenient given the location of the equipment.

Hence, for similar money I can sell what I’ve got and buy a used Uniti Nova. However, I don’t want a degradation of SQ. I am not looking to spend any money (net) so simply upgrading the Node and Mojo2 to say an ND5XS2 or NDX2 is not an option.

Listening is mainly casual and all streamed from Tidal or Spotify lossless and I want to be able to just use Tidal Connect or Spotify Connect to play and control the volume. Speakers are Neat Petite SX with a Rel T5x subwoofer.

Thanks!

Set the node to variable output then you can control it as you want.

I’d get an Atom HE and a 200 or 250. Solid upgrade.

I’ve tried and it doesn’t sound as good. Unless one doing something wrong🤔

That’s quite a bit more money by the looks of it. Will consider it though and keep a look out. Would the amp have to be a DR?

The Atom HE goes for around 1600 euros in my place and a good 200 is also sub 1000 euros. You’ll need a cable to connect them and the total should be less than 3k second hand. DR not needed.
