Hi

What Bluetooth transmitter for cordless headphones is best for Uniti Atom

I was hoping someone might have replied. I tried a very cheap one from the bay. Waste of time, but i’m reluctant to spend to much as it’s for a second system.

anyone have any suggestions?

Yes - don’t use one. Not being flippant here. To use cordless headphones with kit of this quality just doesn’t make sense.

Bear in mind with Bluetooth headphones, you will be using the DAC and headphone amp in the headphones.

So a more pragmatic answer is, for wireless headphone listening, just use your phone. It won’t make any significant difference for this particular use case. In fact it will likely sound better than a device the converts the analogue signal from the Atom back to digital and then back to analogue again in the headphones.

Depending on what brand phone you have, if your headphones support LDAC (like Sony), you might want to investigate the Questyle QCC Dongle Pro, which would allow you to transmit in that Codec from an iPhone.

Although I’m aware that sound quality is being affected here, I also have a solution which allows me to use my Px8 with my ND5 XS 2.

I have chosen to connect a Fiio BTA30 Pro to the BNC output of the ND5 XS 2. Had to order the right cable for that, but it works very well.

My personal experience is that when I stream Qobuz with that combination there is a better and more controlled sound than when I connect the Px8 to my Pixel and then stream Qobuz.
