Bookshelf speakers in the 1.500-2.000+ Euros range us my xmas present

hi i want to get a self made xmas present
the speakers must work great with my Naim 5si amp that will be their amp for 1 year or so later i may get a valve amp probally Synthesis roma 510 ac or Fezz audio titania evolution bouth with kt88 tubes so perfect if it work great also with the valve amps.
my candidates are follow
1 Sonus Faber Lumina amator 2
2 Sonus faber sonetto G2
3 Fyne Audio f500sp
4 Elac Vela bs403
5 Martin Logan motion 35xti
from what i understand bouth sonus faber are 4 ohms so my naim woud give them about 90 wpc instead of the 60 for 8 ohm speakers but fyne audio is high efficiency

Depending on where you live this suggestion may be at the high end or beyond your budget but a pair of Neat Pettite Classic’s could well meet your requirements and to my ears sound very good indeed.

I auditioned several speakers with my 5si and eventually settled on a pair of Dynaudio Special 40s. They sounded incredible to my ears. I eventually upgraded the 5si to a SN3 and they now sound even more incredible. They have surprisingly deep base for a small standmount.

Another option is to look for graded or open box options. These are speakers that sound the same as new and often you can’t even tell why they are graded stock but you can get some great discounts.

This gets asked on every single thread where the word “bookshelf” is used.

Do you really mean bookshelf or do your mean standmount? Because they are not the same thing.

As @feeling_zen says. It depends what you listen to as well, but assuming from your username that it’s jazz rather than heavy rock, used LS3/5A loudspeakers could be interesting. Mind you, although they are described as bookshelf speakers, they work much better as stand mounts. Don’t expect heavy bass, obviously.

To clarify, a speaker that is rear ported or even sealed but designed to be free standing, won’t work shoved in a book case. Often “bookshelf” is a figure of speech but it can also mean, “I intend to shove these in a bookcase.” The latter would dramatically change your options.

in the websites of the shops i was looking at they are all listed us bookshelf speakers, but i get you yes i want to put them on a stand later like i don,t trust my ikea kallax furniture

Good that means you can use things that are potentially rear ported or where the manual stipulates a certain amount of read space.

I know “bookshelf” is overly used terminology. It really shouldn’t though. Speakers that can actually be tucked in a bookshelf are pretty rare. A handful of consumer hifi speakers and then nearfield monitors.

Next Question: What does your local dealer actually have available for you to try. There are a lot of options. But I suspect only four or five are available to you. Do you know what those are yet?

You could also add Audiovector QR1SE to your list. I use the non-SE version on the end of a Nait 50 and am very happy with them.

Been trying to listen to the SE version for almost a year but it seems no UK dealers want to sell them to me.

As I’m guessing you’re from somewhere in the ‘Eurozone’ you may have better luck though!

Try nintronics.

I did. Multiple times!

The OP is in beautiful Bern, Switzerland! As for speaker choice my first audition would be models from Sonus Faber - but ymmv.

will add the audiovector how is bass does it come out in front these little stripe or do you have a sub.
the neat speakers a other user recomends is out of my budget i can spend max 2.300 euros

the sonus fabers and fyne audio are my favorite in terms of looks i coud only test old sonetto 2 and 3 with Naim unity atom great combo new sonetto line haves no rewiews on the internet or magazines only show report specially Munich and i see it always with mc amps despite a italian youtube chanel i watch sayd that the new sonetto 1 and 2 go great with british amps he mentions musical fidelty

I run SF Olympica II floor stand with a 250DR. For me this is a great combo, but speakers are such a personal thing. Remember SF speakers do have a smooth top end there I am not sure how well they will pair with a valve amp. I have never heard an SF / valve amp set up so can’t comment on this.
Design wise I think they are beautiful and much better than the standard square box …… I think this was one reason my wife permitted the purchase :joy:
Anyway, enjoy your Christmas present!!
