Is anyone planning on going to the upcoming Bristol show 20-22nd February?

I’m chatting to my local Audio T tomorrow about it as I believe they are organising it

I’ve never been to an audio show before so it might be quite interesting

I’m going maybe, Be my first time, was going to go listen to some speakers and decide what I wanted, but now I have the Ob’s don’t think I can be bothered, got a 3 pass day as well, and venue is only 2miles away from where I live🤣

Every year I keep meaning to arrange to go, but never get around to it.

Looking forward to reading news from the obvious suspects and hopefully, some news or announcements with regard to Naim’s future plans for a next generation of integrated amps.

I used to enjoy going for social reasons but frankly I just find the venue too claustrophobic.

The emission charge and parking has put me off bothering these days. Agree also that it is a crowded venue.

And quite expensive! It was at audio shows I first heard an Atom and active ATCs and Linn Organik. The result being a big hole in my bank account.

But at least I didn’t have to pay to attend those shows.

I’m in the process of selling my system to downsize so will try to get to the show to see what a smaller system might look like.

Not going this year. I’ll be on “cat sitting” duty, because my DB is away at Daughter2’s place in Londinium…..also on “cat-sitting” duty! :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes::grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes:

I’m not able to go but I did read a What Hifi article about some rumoured new products featuring at the show. Most intriguing was the EL50 active speaker from ATC.

Naim was not mentioned in the article but that neither rules in nor rules out a new product announcement.

Unsure yet, haven’t been for a few years but tempted this year.

Will they be demo’ing streamers with broken firmware? Or will Naim’s presence use a pre-release that solves all the firmware issues experienced for the last 18 months?

Takes some balls to present in person and explain this process to an existing customer, who has committed the big bucks to a ND555 which is still has broken firmware.
