Building Lego

Thanks Ian, I have a confession to make, never seen any of this guys stuff before, heard of him, just never watched him, so thanks for the update, I have some catching up to do!

Working from home for a couple of days, and already fed up of flipping zoom calls!

Have a good day in work.

Wife & Daughter 2 are off to the USA in a weeks time. What shall I do to keep myself amused, I wonder.

Two models, a couple of freebies, and I used some insider points for the Wonders.

They look really lovely! Have you tried Bluebrixx compatibility with Lego? Can we mix & match?

Having had a quick look at the Bluebrixx site, I see they do a stunning PzKpfw VI Tiger, something from which Lego would have shied away. Indeed many, many years ago Lego were adamant that they would never produce bricks in green or brown, as they were considered “too militaristic”. All my earliest bricks (and we are talking 50+ years ago) were in bright “friendly” primary colours.

Will be a bit of a wait…….I’m “not allowed” to start building until the ladies are on the plane! LOL

That’s fine, I’m not without any thing to build or keep me occupied, it does look rather nice :+1:

Maybe time for something a little more challenging - perhaps the Defender 42110, If I can find one.:sunglasses:

I have a desire to start building model aircraft again, Airfix etc , what to do with them afterwards….

Especially as I want to declutter and have lots of declutterring ahead of me

Where do you display / store them all when built?

Mrs DG got me the new Defender and just that one is big enough finding a home for it.

This is a very good question, I would say, if you want to get back into building Airfix aircraft kits, go for it, its good for your mental health, and keeps the old fingers nimble, how far you go is up to you, wether you build straight out of the box, or want to research your subject more.

Decluttering is a different kettle of fish, but something we have been doing for a while, simply for the lack of space, so we came to the conclusion, if you don’t use it, lose it / sell on etc, plus creating space gives you somewhere to display your models.

I recognise your table. Do you display anything on the shelf below the glass?

Probably been mentioned already, I’ve seen bespoke acrylic display cases on Amazon that can complement your most beloved sets.
