I have a SNAXO that came with a Burndy. I cannot use this to connect a Supercap with a preamp, right? Can I use this Burndy with a Superline?
The SNAXO Burndy is exactly what is needed to connect a Superline to a Supercap. It will not work for a 252.
Perfect, thank you!
I think it is the other way around. the snaxo burndy can be used as a burndy with 252 but not the other way around.

I have both, a 252 with a Supercap DR, and I have a Superline with another Supercap DR. The SNAXO Burndy is the Superline Burndy. The 252 Burndy comes with the preamp and is different.
The Naim price list shows it as: NAIMBURNSNAXO SuperLine or SNAXO x-overs to SuperCap
But can a SNAXO/Superline Burndy also power a 52/252? Just a point of curiosity.
No.
No, but I’m not sure why that even matters? The preamps come bundled with the required Burndy. A Superline does not include one.
If I recall correctly, Witchhat made a Burndy that worked for both but they went out of business.
General knowledge
I’m still planning to move my Superline/SCDR + Burndy/PL/HL on later this year, to make room for a new phono-stage early 2025.
I think the Burndy cable even has SNAXO stamped on it.
I think it’s about time we had a “Identify Your Burndy Cable and its Uses” FAQ. It seems to be a question that comes up a lot. What do you think @Richard.Dane
It’s a good idea. I originally wanted to do this to follow up the SNAIC and interconnect ID FAQ thread Only problem is I only have an S-XPS Burndy and a NAC552 Burndy here to photograph. The latter is fairly obviously for a NAC552 only.
I would suggest an Internet search might find you more pictures of other versions…
Yes, but I like to use only my own pictures where possible as others may not want their own images to be used here.
Perhaps start a new thread asking people to photograph their burndy connections and their current use, and perhaps that can be used to input to a FAQ -I realise that might be a bit of work for you though - sorry
Good Eye Deer…
Here you go…!!
