Cable to connect non naim power amplifier

Hi everyone. Good evening.
I recently bought a tube power amp and I would like to disconnect the NAP 250 and connect it in its place. The rest is a pre nac102 + hicap olive series. I tried with a din 4/2x rca at input 3 of my hicap but it doesn’t sound. Can you tell me the right way. I would then like to build it myself. Thanks

Look at the little diagram on the back of the Hicap, you will see the correct way to construct the cable with a 4 pin DIN plug.

with the nap 250 I use socket number 3: is the connection confirmed?

With that hicap, sockets 3 and 4 are powered (both have -ve and +ve).
Sockets 1 and 2 are signal only (ch1, ch2 and -ve) so use those.
If this is your hicap, your sockets need to be either cleaned or replaced, all that white is corrosion.

Good observation, but luckily it is a photo taken from the web similar to my hi-cap. In addition I would like to clarify. The Nap 250 does not have binary power supply ±24V can be connected to sockets 1 and 2 indiscriminately. However in my case I connected it to socket 3 unless I am mistaken. What is the best solution?

Sockets 3 and 4 are named on the panel for use with nac or naxo.
Sockets 1 and 2 say connect to power amps.

Compare with a “modern” hicap dr; green to the nac via snaic 5, blue to the nap via snaic 4. No voltage on the snaic 4.

The equivalent of socket 3 on the hicap dr would appear to be socket 2 on the older hicap.

thanks robert.
