Imagine you have a low-resolution photo. What would you get if you amplified it?
or
Think about a blurry picture. If you zoomed in on it, what would you see?
Sorry I don’t understand where you want to go ?

This just shows that often the content does not match the container.
For example, on Qobuz, there is almost never anything above 48 kHz.
Etc.
What do you mean? Can you mix what? It is certainly possible to have some files flac and others wav and for a streamer to play both, but what is your query re fakes? Do you mean upsampled from low res copies? And by gigs do you mean bootleg recordings, perhaps poor, then being sold masquerading as the legitimate file?
I don’t want to mix anything.
This site just lets you:
Drop an audio file. Get a score from 0 to 100 and a full breakdown of every quality issue detected. Know instantly if your WAV is actually a WAV, or a re-encoded MP3 in disguise.

I just selected half a dozen albums at random on Qobuz. Two were 48, three were 96 and one was 192. All were 24 bit.
Roger
but when you look inside a 96KHz file (with an app or this site), most of them have nothing above 48KHz. it’s the same for 192KHz files.
for example : Nala Sinephro|Endlessness 24/96
track 7 is upsampled from a 320kbps MP3
track 10 is upsampled from a 160 or 256kbps MP3
