Capt. Sir Tom Moore

There are individuals who earn respect and affection at home and abroad. Capt. Sir Tom Moore was such an individual. I hold him in the highest regard and you, his fellow citizens, have my sympathy on his passing.

As far as centuries go, it was a decent innings.

Is it right he had not long come back from a caribbean holiday?

R.I.P. Capt. Sir Tom.

He will always be remembered as a positive force in the midst of all the negativity.

Sadly, he won’t receive the hero’s send-off he truly deserved.

I’d heard that too.

If fatuous celebrities can have a break in the sun, I’d not deny him the chance of a final break from the misery of the UK winter, though it would be sad if he caught it on the trip, and I’d love to think he had a great time.

I think it just goes to show that as much dignity and resilience he had in his older days, life can be wiped away swiftly at that age by an infectious disease or other medical problem, or indeed at any age.
