Cd ripping Star

Hi all,

Looking for some help, when trying to rip a cd to a usb pen drive on my Star I get an error message
CD drive connection lost. Then the CD will not eject. Anybody had similar problem?

Had mine 3 years and no problems ripping at all. I rip to an external hard drive plugged into,the rear Usb
