Hi everyone, i want factory reset my cd5i-2 italic version, its remote sensor is not working i cant manually switch its rca to DIN output, I read that it removes coefficients essential to cd playback, is it true for italic version or just the cd5i v1 only?is it safe and what is the method?

Are you sure it’s the remote sensor? If yours has the little i-Com remote control these are notorious for breaking - they were just a “get you going” handset to save the cost of the full NARCOM (a much better handset).

Yes its the sensor I have tried NARCOM remote on it as well and its not working, so any suggestion how to get DIN working?

The sensor is inside the logo, so replacing that should fix it, unless @NeilS has any ideas here.

The coefficients thing applies to the original CD5i only.
Switch the player on while holding the front panel stop button.
DIN output only is the default setting.
