When a playing CD in a CD5si is stopped, is it normal to hear a slight “clunk” sound? Like the mechanism is hitting its return position?
You may have already found your answer. FWIW - when i had my CD5Si, i was always very impressed with it’s slick and quiet transport operation compared with my older players. Any clunks or clicks would drive me crazy. I’d have the player looked at by your dealer, and if still not satisfied, ask to send it off to Naim for further inspection. If still under warranty, even more reason to have it checked over.
