Hi I have a superuniti and serve ssd. I have just changed my internet provider from virgin to sky can not remember how to change the internet settings, unfortunately my display on my superuniti has stopped working.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate.
Andy
Easiest thing to do is change the SSID and Password of your new router to the same as your old one. Then all your WiFi devices will just connect to it like nothing has changed.
I was about to suggest the same thing. If the OP had fixed the IP address of either unit, then he will also need to set the Subnet and IP number range to be the same as on the old router.
However, the UnitiServe uses Ethernet cable not WiFi and likely the SuperUniti will too. There will also be a NAS as the UnitiServe SSD doesn’t store the music internally. If they haven’t had their IP numbers fixed and are connected by Ethernet cables to the new network, it should be enough to turn everything off, turn the router back on again and when it has fully restarted, turn the UnitiServe, the associated NAS and the SuperUniti back on again.
Best to turn on the US after the NAS is fully on-line; iirc the SU likes the NAS to be available on power up.
Your NAS may have a different subnet to that provided by your new router. A reboot of the NAS should fix that if it’s dynamic IP address otherwise your router manufacturer will have a guide on how to reset the static IP address.
@AndyLunn after posting it seems you have viewed the forum, but despite various peps responding to your request “suggestions would be greatly appreciate” you haven’t been back to your own thread!
Try a search. there have been one or two threads on such inaction, which forum peps consider is, to put it mildly, poor form!
I have changed over password and ssid, rebooted router but they still connect to the internet. Both units are connected via switch and Ethernet cables.
