I am pleased with my chord huei. Nicely built, very flexible, and unbiased sound. The phonostage is small but interconnects add weight & depth to the rear. I have no experience of the Sutherland, so could not comment on whether it would be an upgrade for you.
I prefer the huei to anything that I have owned previously (stageline with / without HiCAP, linn linto, and Trichord Dino with PSU) but my system has evolved during that time - maybe it just works well in my current set up. I suspect that I favour a neutral presentation that would not suit other forum members, but I would certainly recommend an audition.
