How long takes to run a new Chord music speaker cable?

At least three weeks with continuous sound running through them.

There are some companies that provide a burn in service if you haven’t purchased already.

Blurb below:

We can burn-in your cable for up to 96 hours FREE of charge using our Nordost VIDAR cable burner. This is a £3000 machine that will optimise the performance of your cables from day one. This means the cables will be in optimum performance mode when you receive them, so you’ll be able to make a performance assessment quickly rather than waiting 70 hours+ of usage. The result of conditioning cables with the Nordost VIDAR is, improved sound staging, increased detail, and an overall more musical presentation.

With Russian techno it only needs 6 hours. Reference @Dan_M

As Cohen1263 says, at least 3 weeks of continuous play - they get even better with a further 3 weeks. TBH, though, mine sounded pretty fabulous out of the box.

Have you received yours yet?

Play some music, when the sax gets raspy and rich, and the piano punchy and full like never before, you’ve got it. For me, also out of the box.

It is what it is.
What’s the point of dem if it’s going to change.

Around 3 weeks 3 hours a day but i still get changes in sound

At only three hours with music playing a day you may well be hearing “changes” for 6 months at least. You might consider playing low level music continuously. I know that you guys in Israel have issues with power cuts etc. Worth the wait IMO

Just play plenty of music, you’ll soon get to realise the benefit.

I`ll keep your advice in my mind…you probably right

I don’t know if burn in will help after all the Chord Music line was designed exactly with a special insulation “Taylon” which is apparently “classified” grade that avoids performance issues that arise with difference temperatures as one can imagine what kind of use case they were originally designed for (certainly not an audio cable).

Have heard the Chord music interconnects many times, yes, likeable, but not to my taste compared to Superlumina. This was very apparently during the track “stairway to heaven” by Rodrigo y Gabriela. The SL sounded like a live performance with all the dynamics intact, the CM well, nice but just didn’t excite in the same way. The exact same with Nickelback “Animals” but I will concede Norah Jones sounded quite a bit nicer on the Chord Music, due to the way it emphasizes the midrange.

If it isn’t making you happy, suggest considering on how to go about getting a refund.

I wouldn’t want to be bothered with a cable that takes 6 months to show what I paid all this money for in the first place.

Did you try Naim superlumina speaker cable?

With all my Superlumina and Vertere cables I could pretty much hear out of the box what they cables do (or as Vertere says, don’t do - even the best cables cannot add anything to the signal, but they do the least harm) and yes they got slightly better (maybe) but it was an instant improvement for me (well do they cost a lot of money so it should be)

The SLs feel more “energetic”, indeed. So are the Chord Signatures - both these are at the same/similar level. You may, of course, prefer the SL, they are excellent, and it may depend also on how they fit your system and speakers.
