Director Bob Clark of A Christmas Story also helmed another seasonal staple, the 1974 slasher classic Black Christmas, which was filmed in Toronto.
When I were a lad it always used to be this film on every Christmas…used to be terrified of the skeletons!
Oh that looks more me.
£2.49 on Amazon prime.
Every Christmas:
A Christmas Carol - Simm - 1954;
Miracle on 34th Street - 1934;
A Muppet Christmas Carol;
Die Hard;
The Santa Clause;
The Snowman;
The Grinch - Carrey;
It’s a Wonderful Life.
“Welcome to the party, pal”
The Vista Vision process used in this film always looked wonderful in HD but the 4K UHD is simply stunning.
Now on stage as a musical at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg. Almost a sellout over its multiweek run.
Great in 3d ![]()
There are a few movies that have zero to do with Xmas and yet get associated in people’s minds with Xmas anyway, for reasons I don’t even understand.
I always think Escape to Victory is a Xmas movie, which if course, it isn’t. But it’s one of those things that’s always on in the afternoon on Boxing Day.
Like ‘Raiders…’ and ‘Carry On up the Jungle’. Always on ITV over Christmas.
