I don’t believe that Google make any Chromecast Audio devices now. So you would probably need to buy a third party device (for a lot more money).

So Google is rolling out a fix.
Except it won’t work for zhlubbs like me who in the normal course of troubleshooting did a reset.
By coincidence BT came this afternoon and upgraded my TV box which now allows me to cast from YT etc.
I found a fix online that at least let me get through a reset.
Temporarily set the date on the device you’re using for the Google Home app to something before March 9. Then do the reset.
EDIT - Let me take this a step further - at least for those that have the Lyrion Media Server (LMS). Once you complete the reset you can use the ChromeCast plug-in to cast to your ChromeCast Audio puck. Not only could I cast from my own library, I could cast from Qobuz using the Qobuz plug-in.

Have found the device in question and it does cost the sterling equivalent and may have to be the answer to future casting capability to my non smart speakers. I think after the debacle this week Google may have a stay of execution with CCA, but I do feel its days are sadly numbered.
It’s a remarkable product for the price. And the app is far superior to the Naim app.
And in the half a year since I started using it, it has remained ensconced in its room in my Google Home.
Finally got around to “fixing” the Chromecast that I’d factory reset. As per the infinite advice of the Internet:
I turned off the automatic date/time in settings. Set the date to 7 March
In Google Home selected to add a new Chromecast
Took two attempts at this step but eventually worked. Chromecast downloaded an update and restarted. Eventually it announced it was ready to go.
There was an issue with reconnecting my phone to my wifi. I forced Google Home to close. Disconnected phone from my wifi, reconnected, reopened Home and all is fine.
Oh, don’t forget to turn on automatic time/date afterwards.
