Chromecast no more vol control after 3.10

Hi, after upgrading to 3.10 I miss the volume control in Qobuz when connected via Chromecast, Airplay works fine.
Anyone with same issue?

When you say you “miss” it, do you mean you can’t find it or it doesn’t work. I don’t know where it was (as I always used the Naim app), but I used ChromeCast from the Qobuz app on my iPhone 15 iOS 8.1 to a MuSo 2 today. I could control the volume with the two buttons on the iPhone and also by clicking on the ChromeCast icon, which displayed a volume control at the bottom of the screen.

Ok, yes. The vol control (iPhone Buttons etc.) has no effect on Nova vol.

I do have the problem casting from Qobuz to my Nova (as opposed to my MuSo). I also have it when I cast from nPlayer (an alternative app to Apple Music on my iPhone). In addition to the iPhone side buttons, I tested out the volume control scroll bar accessible when you select the ChromeCast Icon, the volume control in Google Home, and voice commands. None had any effect

I should note that while casting, I can still control the volume using the Naim app.

Seems like a bug. If nobody posts a simple solution today, I’ll add this issue to my open Naim ticket regarding ChromeCast.

that would be cool if you can add this to an existing ticket. I tested with iPhone, Qobuz on Mac and Windows. Volume control was fine before 3.10 update on all platforms

It appears Naim closed my ticket without alerting me. I did post on this forum that my prior problem appeared to have been resolved (by good fortune or Google tech support - I don’t know which - but not by Naim). However, others reported similar problems. which may have been unresolved.

I will open a new ticket tomorrow unless you want to.

I went ahead, submitted a request for support, and received a ticket. Here is what I sent:

iPhone 15 - iOS 8.1

When using ChromeCast to play music from my iPhone on the Nova, the Nova does not respond to the volume controls on the iPhone (side buttons, on-screen ChromeCast slider, and Google Home control). It also does not respond to voice commands. It will respond to the volume control on the Naim app while casting via ChromeCast.

I tested this with my Muso, which does not have this issue.

Another user has reported the same issue on the Forum.

Having the same issue here with volume control on my uniti atom. Hopefully they will work on it fast!

No response to my request for support beyond an initial acknowledgment and ticket number, Hopefully it will be fixed in the - apparently, soon to come - patch.
