Hi all, I have just purchased a CI Uniti 102. When I try to pair with AirPlay it asks me to enter the code displayed on the unit. However the CI Uniti 102 does not have a display. Please advise?
I think @Stevesky has been using one of these so may well be able to assist you here.
Just a thought, If I connect to my NDX2 via a browser http://IPAddressOfDevice//naim/index.fcgi
I get the below form - may be the same for you
You might check the Home app - I think it’s there, that you can configure settings to access speakers and TVs. Maybe it’s set to a “secure mode”, where the CI-102 has problems with.
Translated from German: Home app → Setting for the home → Speakers & TV
I’m just guessing here, but this can be very hidden, if one is not aware those settings even exist.
Hi @chrissnape
By default the CI102 does not require a password.
Typically when this is happening, its because the phone has a company(or school) Device Management Profile which enforces a password, which makes Apple offer an authentication method which is not applicable for this type of product.
First attempt: Try ‘0000’ (that’s zero’s not o’s)
Second attempt: in iOS go to settings->general-VPN & Device Management. See if a profile is installed. If there is one you might need to talk nicely to the IT gods.
Third attempt: If setup in Apple Home, this can also cause this. Someone else in this thread has mentioned this / given more detail.
Best
Steve
Just to let you know that a new Firmware for the CI-102 has just been released.
