I have a new to me CI-Uniti 102 that I’m using with a pair Harbeth P3ESR XD’s and REL Tzero MKIII sub. Setup worked fine the first day I set it up, but last night, I started playing music via Qobuz connect and the music stopped afer a couple of seconds. If I remember correctly, the 1 and 2 LED’s flashed red, then the amp turned off with no lights except a red flashing network LED. Now when I turn on the amp, it starts, the network LED goes solid orange as it tries to connect and then the amp promptly turns off with only the red flashing network LED. The manual doesn’t describe what a red flashing network LED means, does anyone here happen to have any idea?
IIRC a red flashing LED indicates a fault of some sort. Switch off. Check your speaker cables aren’t shorting or mis-wired first. Are you taking the signal from the sub off the amp speaker outs? Otherwise, seek support from your dealer or from Naim support.
That was my initiaI thought, but the manual describes red flashing fault/overload as the 1 and 2 LED’s not the Network LED. The manual doesn’t describe anything for that scenario. I did put in a ticket with support, but was curious if anyone knew what it meant.
Ah OK, sorry I must have missed the network LED part of your post. Possibly @Stevesky will know
Have you tried disconnecting the power lead for a few minutes, then plugging it back in again. I had similar network issues with mine when I first got it and this worked.
check the speaker cables to make sure that no rogue wires/strands are shorted across.
are you sure the network LED is red, could it be purple?
Yes, I’ve tried that a couple of times without success. In fact, it was unplugged all yesterday and tried again last night, but still a no go.
The LED is definitely red. While the manual itself doesn’t say anything about a flashing red Network LED, I did try setting it up in the app again and when I got to the part describing the LED colors, I clicked on other and says there that red means fault or overload, so I guess that answers my question. I’ll just have to be patient and wait for Naim’s customer service to get back to me with next steps.
