I’ve recently noticed that my Naim CDX2 and Rega Aria phono preamp are warmer too the touch each afternoon for a few hours. Not greatly different but enough to notice when I touch the outer case. Also, using my turntable seems to reduce the temperature of the phono preamp to it’s regular temperature. Does anyone know why this would be the case?
Sounds like class A amp behaviour; most heat when working least (excess energy disputed as heat).
Might that be when the sun is shining through the parlor windows?
