Concerts planned for 2024

Courtesy of a pal, we have tickets to see The Damned at the Roundhouse December 18. I’ve never seen them live, and tbh haven’t really followed them since the first album (which was great) when we wuz young…
Looking forward to it though!

I saw them in about 1980. They were not really my thing but the energy and excitement was amazing. And then there was all the gobbing. The band and anyone near the front were covered in it.
Very memorable though.

Hoping that gobbing has been confined to the dustbin. If anyone had gobbed on me at a gig, I’d have lamped em!

The Halle Orchestra, Handel Messiah at the Bridgewater Hall this Saturday.
Then Southern Voices at the Chapel of St Cross, Winchester on the 21st, for festive carols and hopefully some mulled wine because it’s a bit chilly in there.
A nice build up to Christmas!

I saw them a few years back, they were great. Mick Box is a wonderful guitarist.

It is Crowded House isn’t it…?

They’ve just done 3 nights at Kings Park here at the w’end…I didn’t go. We ‘ummed & ‘arred for a while…sort of felt it was a band I ‘should’ go and see, tick the box etc, but I sort of didn’t fancy it…nor the thought of the likely crowd demographic here in Perth…! (Seeing Ice House, supporting Simple Minds, a few months back nearly killed me…)

I’m sure they’ll be superb though….

I wish I’d seen the Neil Finn & Paul Kelly gigs some years back….
