I want to connect my Naim CDX2 to my NSC 222. Can I use the same interconnect I was using to go from my CDX2 to my NAC 82 or do I need to buy a new interconnect and, if so, what is it called?
You can use the DIN cable supplied with the CD player to connect to the 222 DIN input. The latter is an 8 pin socket, but it’s still compatible with 5 pin plugs.
If it’s a later CDX2.2 IIRC it should have a digital out which you could then use to send to a digital in on the 222???
Thank you
Thanks
Is there a preferred cable direction? Should the DIN with the code label be closer to the pre-amp, for example?
Banded end always goes closest to the signal source.
I have an old Rega 3 that I have been using with a ; can I plug this same Rega 3 into my NSC 222? It does not have a ground lead; does that matter?
If you can get sound out of the Rega by playing it into a semi-colon I guess you can do just about anything!?
Seriously though, yes, plug the Rega into the dedicated MM phono input which uses RCAs. Alternatively use your own phono stage if you prefer, in which case you have another RCA input spare.
Whoops…I must be tired. Thanks for the informative response.
