Connecting to synology nas on naim app on ipad

My Nas no longer comes up as an available server on my Naim app. What can I do ?

Is your Upnp software running?

First thing to do is power down everything, wait a few minutes.
Power up wireless router & let it completely finish its start-up process
Power up Synology, then streamer, then iPad

Check if all OK & report back to forum

Thanks. I’ll give it a try later.

I have done all of the above and it still does not work!
Any other ideas? Will the fault lie with the Naim app or the Synology nas?
Thanks

What upnp are you using?

You first need to establish if the NAS is running the uPNP server.

You can login to your Synology admin console to check the package is running.

You can use a network scanner such as Fing on your iPad. This should show your NAS, and clicking through it will show the uPNP details if found.

You can use a windows PC (media player), unix PC (upPlay) or iPad apps (VLC, various media players) to see if the uPNP Server is up and running, and accepting connections to browse/play music.

It is fixed! It was the Upnp not running properly.
Thanks for all your help.
