Why can’t I make the album cover art showing anymore? In the download folder I put a jpg image size 600x600 and name it folder.jpg. I have done this several times before with success, but now it’s not working. I use windows 10. Core is update. I even did a factory reset. The album play fine, but no album cover.
That may because the music is not in the downloads folder, if you have ripped it on the Core. It might help if you give a bit more detail on how you rip CDs and acquire music on the Core. It sounds as if you may have had artwork visible in the past and now lost it - is that correct?
All previous album art is showing. This is not a rip, it’s a download. The image was too big so I had to change the size to 600x600. As I told I have done this many times before with no problems.
I’m not sure I can help then as I have never bought any downloads. I have ripped CDs on my Mac in iTunes/Music and they have gone into the downloads folder on the Core. I have then sometimes added artwork manually without a problem. I normally call them cover.jpg but I doubt the file name makes any difference. If it’s simply a one-off as it seems I would try doing the artwork again. Maybe copying from Amazon or Discogs as a source.
Now I tried to download album cover from discogs. No need to rezize this one. Still no success.
I’m not sure what to suggest - if you’re doing the same as before and the artwork from before is still showing, it seems very strange. Can you look at the files on the Core via a computer to check if there’s something different between the most recent download and the earlier ones? @davidhendon is very experienced with the Core and he might have a suggestion.
Try deleting all the files and try a new install from a memory stick.
It should be a jpg called folder.jpg just as you have. But I’m not sure 600x600 is big enough. I always make it 1000x1000.
If the download is a FLAC rather than a WAV, then you might find it works if you just delete the folder.jpg as the artwork is normally already contained in the FLAC files. You could also try adding the artwork to the FLAC files with a metadata editor. I have occasionally had to do that.
Or at least check if the artwork is actually still there using a metadata editor such as MP3tag, other editors are available.

I have 939 albums, all in their own folder, with folder.jpg always resized to 600x600 and they all appears perfectly !
Well, I can’t argue with that! But I can speak from personal experience that the UnitiCore can be very picky about the size of the jpg.

Sorry didn’t work with bigger size. And I am also sure that I used 600x600 before. But this is not the end of world.
The other thing to try then is a completely different version of the artwork (I mean download it from elsewhere).
I recently had a download where the artwork didn’t work and my friend with two Cores had the same issue with both. He said there was something odd about the jpg format and he used an image editor to clean it up. That worked!
I had exactly the same issue today with a new FLAC download. Deleting the folder.jpg worked. So thank you for the suggestion above. Hopefully the OP will find a solution.

I have tried everything, also removing the folder.jpg. Also getting images from different sources, no success. CD rips work as normal. Maybe my Core got the flu
I spoke too soon. The album art disappeared again. So I replaced the folder.jpg file and resized it to 1000x1000 (previously 3000x3000). After about 10 minutes and after a couple of app restarts, the cover reappeared and, touch wood, it seems to be holding. (I’m not sure the resizing was necessary and probably only 1 restart would have been adequate).

I too sometimes have problems with this.
I find what works most reliably is if I can copy an image from the internet into my “photos” on my device. There is then an option in the app to download from “photos”.
