Am I right in thinking that I should be trying to get the shelf level feet spikes sitting perfectly in the middle of the cups without touching the sides at all?
One of my levels feels like the weight of the equipment is flexing the legs out slightly enough to make getting the spikes perfectly centralised impossible.
Am I fighting a loosing battle?

Not touching the sides but in the middle is a bit unlikely. I found they stay put once the load is on if they’re not nudged, the splaying happens if you try to move them with the load on, which is also bad for the points. Some shelves have needed a bit of swapping of legs to get them lined up, the consistency s sometimes a little disappointing.
