Cricket

But there was also India and NZ in the two preceding series as well.

Poor Ms. Dottin not following the running rules e.g. always run with the bat within the cut strip, as the surrounds are often bare/inserted earth, with divots and holes. She was unfortunate though…but it’s basic stuff.

You are being kind… At the very least unprofessional from a senior player

Sadly, and I hate to post this, I’ve been conditioned to some very poor cricket in women’s matches, much of it around basic skills. The 3rd T20 between the SA and England women’s sides involved a fielding travesty by the home side. A case of when the catches are there to be taken ‘the money’s on the ball’, and so it proved to be numerous times. There again, England and latterly NZ (Brook 171-ish for 5/6?) appear to have caught (:grinning: ) the same disease in the Test arena.

Women’s Cricket is improving, I think. But I’m not sure they would compete against many men’s club sides in league cricket.
However, I do quite enjoy watching it although it can be frustrating.

Second test starts today Aus v India (day/night) in Adelaide. Aussies need to bring their A game.

Because India will bring all the fans

I know it’s actually annoying went a Aus v NZ rugby game in Sydney years ago and the resident Kiwis out numbered the Aussies.

Likewise with Lords next year .

I’m currently getting ready to go to the Cattlemen’s Association Christmas lunch. Haven’t been able to attend for much at all this year, I’m looking forward to a day out.

I must admit, that would be far more annoying…!

Least the Indians bring the joy and atmosphere…! They had a drummer going up and down each aisle in the stadium, prompting most of the crowd to stand up and break into an impromptu Bollywood sing and dance scene…!
The Aussies had ‘Aussie, Aussie, Aussie…Oi, Oi, Oi!’ in retort…

I’ve been a game at the SCG where the English have out numbered the locals. Bloody Bamy Amy.

But you have a damned sight better climate than England in January …

Who cares about the weather when you have Fosters or Penfolds …

Best wishes

Think they just export the Fosters to the UK…! Don’t think I’ve ever seen it here…
XXXX very occasionally, the odd country pub or such like, think it’s around a bit more in QLD, but again think they send most of it away…like Cattle, Iron Ore, Kylie Minogue…
Can’t blame them really…

Billy the Trumpeter will be getting his tunes ready for ‘25….

Still fondly remember watching one of the games at the WACA during the 2010 Ashes, I’d only been here a few months…Mitchell Johnston was the feared attack bowler of the time, but as we all know he could be somewhat ‘variable’ shall we say….The song went out – ‘He swings to the left, He swings to the right’…all day long! The louder the song got, the worse he balled  He’d be lying if he didn’t admit it effected him…!

It’s like Cobra in India, they’ve never heard of it there.

I lugged a bottle of Kingfisher halfway round India on a tiger safari (saw about fifteen) gave it to a curry loving friend who was appalled at the outside of the bottle. I am not sure if he ever drank it

lol.
I actually like Cobra, often used to have it when I lived in London….But yeah, thinking about, don’t see it around elsewhere much…!
But of course, the same can be said of Tika Massala…!
