As indeed the PSL . Maybe one or both will transfer to Abu Dhabi ?
The IPL is a juggernaut ( a good Indian word) and it would be a huge loss to cancel

You can’t play all types of cricket all the time. That was /is a problem with certain cricketers (Stokes for a start)
They are wise, Test Cricket in India attracts quite small crowds as oppose to England , which when England play India there are massive crowds and the odd Englishman (or Englishwoman) …
I just think the IPL is tottering under its own weight of expectation , much prefer the Hundred .

You cannot work for two bosses at the same time, this may be controversial, but if you sign for the IPL or Big Bash you should see your contract through. England benefits from the experience you accumulate from being in such a tournament in the final legs

Surrey vs Yorkshire 4 day CC match live on Sky. Nice to see a real challenge between bat and ball, and batsmen valuing their wicket.
Hope it doesn’t get booted off when the IPL starts up again.

IMHO, they more need a ‘talent factory’, as England aren’t producing talented players like the Aussies and the Indians, who both start from a base of good technique. It’s almost as if England’s coaching set-up picks players with a good eye, lets them have a biff, and then tries to educate them about technique, after horrible habits have become ingrained e.g. loads of bottom hand, not much feet movement.

…and on May 22nd the English Test summer begins, just as one of the driest springs on record is set to end in a day or so. Typical!
Eng v Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge starts now as a taster for the visit of India later in the summer.
Zim win the toss and bowl. Delighted that Sam Cook will get a debut having been a class act in County cricket for multiple seasons. He has probably not got the pace to tour Australia next winter but in England he should do just fine.
