It certainly can @Dan_M, my prospects are slowly looking up, and I hope the same is for you. Good luck and all the best.

Finding this thread rather late but having caught up with Dan’s journey, wanted to add my good wishes and support for @Dan_M and the others who have generously shared their stories. It is a salutary reminder of the slender thread we rely on, often with little thought that we could be in similar straits. Your indomitable spirit and fierce drive to secure your very best life Dan, fuelled by Russian techno is uplifting for me and clearly a number of others on the forum. Carpe diem.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend and today’s round of chemo goes OK and the side effects are manageable.

Hi Paul, well remembered mate. I am at hospital on the hard stuff. Too early to tell. See what happens. My magnesium levels were low in bloods so no wonder I feel a bit tired before I even start.

Hang in there Dan it never gets easier, good luck.

My maintenance got pushed back for a week due to my low T cell count. Start having a shot of fikgrastim in the stomach every 2 days, I don’t mind the needles what I do mind however is I feel Mrs Pete enjoys administering them way too much for my liking. :upside_down_face:

How you doing today ?

Not too bad as it goes. Alot better than day 2 of last chemo session. Maybe getting used to new regime. Also I haven’t been vomitting. Feel a bit tired and rough. But nothing I can’t handle.

How are you?

I’m all good thanks,
But this thread is not about me,
You been flirting with nurses?

Nah! I was grumpy as hell yesterday. Treat em mean!

I just didn’t want to be there. Sometimes you get a banter going. Yesterday it wasn’t happening

Still looking onwards and upwards. I know next week or 10 days is a bit of a right off. Then will be back at work for 6 days which will help.

Been taking it easy. Pretty much holed up at home at moment. The chemo bottle comes out of portacath this afternoon so that will make washing easier. Haven’t got bag wet.

This round has been better than last. Just one vomitting experience which was low key.

Energy levels still very low. Coming off steroids. Looking forward to feeling better. Should feel more normal middle of next week.

Keeping positive mindset and waiting for good times next week!

First week on chemo is never gonna be good! But need to have a positive mindset every day or you go under!

Got to brave it out for my sanity!

2nd week is a bit better.

As chemo rounds go on it’s compound effect and things get generally worse. Last time had blood transfusion and all sorts of problems. Having 2 big lots of chemo within 7 months or so is going to hit me hard. And with op in between this is taking it’s toll on me physically.

And I don’t think treatments will stop after this chemo. Looking at another op and immunotherapy afterwards.

Hey Dan - do you have playlists for the inevitable downs with the journey you are on or just rely of Russkie techno to see you through?
