Will you be seeing Matron?

Maybe a glimpse. There’s a young nurse I like there too. And drinks girl. Plenty to keep me occupied today!

Thanks @Tabbycat. Thanks for your comments about my system and the artwork.

The Sopra 2s are indeed excellent speakers paired with Naim equipment. I have used them with 52 Supercap 2 and 2 x 135s. Then 52 Supercap 2 with 500DR and now 552DR with 500DR.

I am very happy with the system and the painting up on the wall as well as room treatments.

Certainly an enjoyable room to relax in, whether it be listening to music or watching TV.

Got home yesterday, had one slice of toast, then Nausea vomiting and diarrhoea. Was in bed by 4pm. Woke up 3am this morning. Up at 5am. Eating well today. 3 small meals. Plenty of fluids and feeling much better than yesterday!

Good to hear you are feeling a bit brighter today. You and my brother in law have aligned on your chemo treatments…his was delayed for two weeks due to low white blood cells also and started his treatment again yesterday.

How is he getting on with his chemo David?

Ok other than the last round that seem to knock him for six and he ended up being admitted in for 5/6 days. Whilst he was in hospital he didn’t feel like talking so I WhatsApp’d him a few times re football. I also told him I enjoyed this more as I understood him better via this method as he has an extremely strong Irish country accent …he in return said he enjoyed it more as he didn’t have keep repeating his words

The chemo seems to build up and things get worse as the treatment goes on. This was my experience of chemo last year. This is why they are changing regime early, so enable me to function better and not have delays in treatment.

Hi Dan
Get your love for your Sopras.I have 2 lounge systems 1 with really old Focal Profil 77’s
And really love them driven by a Rega Aethos and main source a Rega Saturn R.
Focal always get misunderstood in my view as they do need running in expecially tweeter wise.
As I said up thread the Naim Statement evening with Sopra 2 's was great …lovely sounding speakers and exciting.
Here are mine.My other System is Magnepan 1.7 panels and an Audio Research LS25 preamp and a 300 watt class D poweramp with LP12 as source.
I loved this picture of yours.
The way the it draws you in to my eyes and it leaps out at you with the curves of the lines.
You can just get lost in it and its very abstract. Also the orange of the wall is very warming.
Anyway pleased your feeling a little better…feel for you
Best wishes
Ian

So Chemo has been a right off. No benefits really. Lessions increasing in size. So now looking at change of treatment to Immunotherapy.

So just to make things clear we are not looking at cure. I have stage IV metastatic cancer.

Future is unknown with Immunotherapy. Could work or not at all.

We are looking at prolonging my life as opposed to any cure.

Yup. I’m not good at these serious topics, but I too had an aunt who was given up, tried immuno and she lived almost 10 years.

Hi Dan sorry to hear about your results. They’re having great success with immunotherapy, I had it with all my chemo sessions and it’s now helping me stay in remission.

You do need to be careful of secondary infections and contact with others should be limited, definitely avoid anyone with the flu etc.

Good luck and stay safe.
