And not forgetting Eraserhead. A true original
Yeh, the best Dune.
Saw Erasurehead in the theatre when it was released!
Possibly the reason I never watched Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet.
Scared the willies out of me.
“The elephant man” is one of my favorite movies.
Mulholland Drive should be mentioned too. A remarkable maker of art films who was particularly interested in music.
Fire Walk with Me is the nasty one. I took my girlfriend who is now my wife-- so she must have forgiven me…
Sad news, Time to fire up the cherry pie and coffee.
Me and my friends saw Eraserhead many times (we were also John Waters junkies so it was sometimes teamed with one or two of his). Wonderful weird little film. An essential part of my younger cinema-going.
RIP Mr Lynch.
I still play music from Twin Peaks, yes some wonderfully weird stuff. A big loss.
Very sad news , my favourite director without question. We re watched Twin Peaks recently and it’s better than ever .
Coincidentally the Prince Charles cinema in London is showing Fire Walk with Me this Sunday should anyone be interested. They show many classic films and there’s a few others from David Lynch being shown at the moment.
Just to note there was a third season of Twin Peaks in 2017 set 25 years later than the end of series 2. Some extraordinary twists in the plot and we see many characters age. Recommended if you didn’t see it.
It’s excellent isn’t it and was certainly worth the wait . You could say it’s much more David Lynch but with plenty of the original as well . The ‘Gotta light’ episode is just something else .
Where can you watch Twin Peaks these days?
Its on Paramount plus in UK Mike .
