Daylight Savings?

Based in the UK - though I suspect it’s the same everywhere but daylight savings isn’t working on my Mu-so QB v1. Can’t where to set it or change the current time (which is -1 hour) - any pointers?

It’s adjusted automatically.
I haven’t touched this.

Mine is an hour out :frowning: can’t see anywhere to change it

You probably need to make it ask for the time from an internet time server again. If you take the power right off your muso, wait a few minutes and then power it up again, that might fix it. If not then I suggest do it again, but this time restart your router too and wait for that to fully start up and settle before turning your muso on again.

You can’t change it, the time is picked up automatically from the internet.
All you can try, as Chris has suggested, is to force it to change. However this should not be necessary, unless you have something blocking the traffic from your home network.

A reboot of the Naim didn’t work, I’ll try the router later. Can’t see any drops on the router logs.

I have the same issue, seemingly it’s not picking up the current time from the network despite powering it off. I have had this Mu-so QB a few years now and it’s the first time it’s done this however I am using a new router. Other network attached devices seem to be on BST. It could be that the new router is blocking the update though.

reboot router, rebooted Mu-so QB1 - still the same. Could be a QB1 issue?

Hi.
Since we put the clocks foward by one hour the inbuilt radio alarm function in my QB goes off one hour late.
I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled on my mobile phone.
The actual time on the settings page for the radio alarm is correct, it matches the BST on my moblie phone.
I have unplugged the QB from the mains and plugged it in again one hour later.
Despite doing all of the above it still switches on one hour late.
As anybody else experienced this with the change to BST? If so how did you solve it?
Thank you.
Roger.

Our QB1 seems to have updated fine. I don’t use the alarm function so can’t comment on that.

The current time is incorrect causing an issue with the alarm function, not sure if other functions are impacted.

I just plugged in and turned on my Muso Qb gen 1. It’s been unplugged for a month or so, since I did the new firmware update in fact. It’s connected by WiFi.

Anyway it correctly shows the current time. So the problem that some of you are reporting is not just a firmware or software problem, but is either specific to your hardware or, more likely in my opinion, something specific to your home network.

I have two Qb1s, the hardwired one has adjusted to DST, the wifi connected one hasn’t. (Can I see the time on a Qb2?) When there is a pause in the IPL match I’ll pull the power on the recalcitrant one.

Powering it off for 5 minutes made no difference.

It might be a home network issue but rebooting everything is functioning and updated apart from the Mu-so QB1 including washing machine, coffee machine, robot lawnmower - so it’s pretty IOT friendly. I’ll try hardwiring it and see it makes a difference.

I stopped using the alarm a while back on my qb first generation. Looking in the ios app 7.41 I can see that the app time reported is two hours behind looks like UTC without any daylight savings added. Very strange. Before this worked no matter the time of year.
Of course I can or could program the alarms to run at the wrong UTC time not current time in copenhagen with daylight savings time added.

Naim - any chance of looking into this, seems like getting the time right on device seems like basic functionality???

Naim staff don’t routinely read stuff posted here, so if you want them to do as you suggest, you need to send your suggestion to Naim’s technical support email address.
