Did you buy a Nait 50?

I think it would be interesting to know how many forum members bought the Nait 50 – so if you bought it and sold it later you would still register the fact that you were a forum member bought it – realising that there are a few people who have bought more than one, I have three options. I don’t think anyone has bought

  • Yes I bought one
  • Yes I bought two
  • Yes I bought three

If the Nait 50 was only sold to forum members around 13% of us would have bought one at some stage based on February 2024 membership numbers. I think it would be interesting to see what that percentage actually is.

It might be informative if amongst those who bought a Nait 50 they could indicate if it caused a downsize from higher up the Naim hierarchy.

Neither, I used to have a Nait 5i years ago which I’ve sold and I got back into Naim with the N50.

I upgraded my desktop system from a UnitiQute 2. My main system remains as before (252/250DR).

Nait50 replaced a SN3.

I was considering a NAC222 and going active (with PMC speakers) but thought it might be different but not necessarily better result compared with the Supernait 3. I was worried I would always be wondering what an NAC 332 with NVC TT phono stage would bring. Preferring fewer boxes, I was really pleased and surprised with how good the Nait50 sounded. For me and my context the Nait50 is an end game amp. I am not sure whether this counts and an upgrade or down grade. I am however listening to music a lot more than I was previously and there’s a lot more sofa-dancing and head bobbing when I do.

Yes, I had a Nova. That had been a replacement for a 5 box 200 system. Very happy with the performance of the Nait 50. I have wanted to downsize the system as I have cataracts and dodgy knees and want to simplify the system whilst keeping a good sound quality

I was instantly taken by the retro look, having being unable to afford the original as a teenager, so mine was a full price purchase. It replaced my aging Linn integrated in my office system, as I was working from home 4 days a week.

However having since retired it’s not getting as much use, so may move rooms or end up in main listening room, still to decide, but it’s a keeper.

The percentage will be low, no doubt.

In another thread somebody did count the number of NN50 posters, was it 116 individuals ?

As there’s 1973 NN50 only out there, - and many users are not present on forums or at least in here, - I wonder if any percentage is very useful - I understand curiosity we have in generel.

I never vote in any polls on internet, this is not gonna change my standing, even I have my NN50.

Sorry.

Bought mine on pre order for a 2nd system. It’s a cracker.

Under the conditions of your current poll, there’s no way to account for how many members bought the Nait 50 used, which could have been bought from other members. So there are likely numerous members tied to just one Nait 50. We’ll know how many members have owned a Nait 50, but not really a real percentage of members that bought up the available quantity of 1973.

Replaced XS3 with NN50. I like it what it does, it’s simplicity and very close to getting another one.
