I’m using my NDX2 as a transport into a Moon 3.3 CD player using the SPDIF connection . According to the manual ‘The MOON CD 3.3 is capable of processing an external digital input signal at one of the following seven (7) different sampling rates: 32.0kHz, 44.1kHz, 48.0 kHz, 88.2kHz, 96 kHz, 176.2kHz and 192kHz.’ However, the display on the moon says that the sampling rate of the signal is 44.1 even if I’m streaming hi def files. It doesn’t matter if it’s a native or PCM output. I’m using a Naim DC1 cable. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Cheers

Rates aside does this configuration sound (or is it expected to dound) better than the NDX2 analogue out?
I’m just experimenting really. I like the sound signature of the Moon

Nice. That’s the beauty of having all these options. Sorry I can’t help with the question itself!
What source are you playing on the NDX 2 ?

have you tried the core direct into the moon?
I had my core cabled direct into my Marantz SACD players coax input this afternoon, works quite well.
