While spring cleaning I noticed the rubber boot has come out of the DIN plug on a couple of my SNAICs. I have tried reinserting the boot but without success, I get one side in but this pops out when I try and push the other side in.
Any tips on how I can do this minor repair?
A bit of lubrication will help. Use a very tiny dab of washing up liquid on the end of your finger rubbed onto the end of the boot you want to get back into the main body. Ease the ridge of the boot into the metal body and use your fingernail to slowly work around the rim until it’s all back into place.
