DIN to RCA cable

Hello,
Would you guys please recommend a really good DIN to RCA cable $500ish I’m currently using a Chord one don’t know exactly the name of it, but it sounds a little bright with my 5is and Brooklyn DAC.
Thank you.

May help if you put your location up, could influence availability and choice.

Also, you need a RCA to DIN cable

Do I assume the 5is is a Naim amplifier? It’s useful to complete your profile to help us to help you.

Assuming you are connecting an RCA source to a Din connection on an amplifier, you need an RCA to Din cable. I’d recommend Naim’s own. It costs about £120 in the UK and it’s very good indeed. Any Naim dealer will be able to order one.

That said, using cables as tone controls is a risky business. You may find you can tame the brightness by toeing in your speakers a little less, not that we know what they are.

I agree with HH using cables as tone controls is never a good idea…if your speakers are bright I’d focus on speaker placement, room and toe in. A bright presentation can sometimes be attributed to room reflections cancelling out the lower frequencies. Sometimes silver plated cables can accentuate higher frequencies. I prefer pure copper for a natural presentation.
Lots of phono to DIN cables out there including Naim’s own.

I second, for what it’s worth, HH’s opinion about Naim’s own - assuming he means the so called lavender.

After taking advice from this forum I connected my NAIT 5Si to a Chord Qutest DAC with good quality RCA cables and the resulting sound quality is excellent. Maybe you could try some RCA cables first and see if it suits your set up.
