Does anyone else here use a Hifi Rose RS150B

I have a question - how/where does a uPnP server get exposed? I have the DLNA service activated but I can’t see my Asset or Minim servers anywhere…?

The local SSD library shows up in Music and all other internet streaming services are fine, just not seeing any local upnp.

thx

I cannot help very much, directly, as I do not own a Hifi Rose product.
But seeing as you’ve had no replies in 3 days, I’ll try!

Some Hifi Rose products can only function as a uPNP Server - not as a uPNP Client.
Could this be the issue with your product?
Have you installed all updates? Perhaps the ability has now been added?

Some people appear to use Mconnect as some sort of workaround, to feed their Nas to the Rose.

This is all based only on my rudimentary understanding of the product, though!

Good luck!

Thanks for your insights.

The documentations says it’s a renderer (DMR), not a server (DMS), so I would expect it to ‘see’ my servers (as my Muso’s do).

After a bit more digging it appears that they built-in the DMR, but not the controller (DMC)!!!

So, I should be able to use an app (yet to be identified) to act as a DMC and stream content to the RS150B.

We’ll see. :unamused:

None of this is really a problem as I have all my music stored on a built-in SSD, but it fun to tinker!

Yes, the app of choice appears to be Mconnect, at first glance…

BubbleUpnp did the trick
