Does anyone scan in their CD paperwork?

The threat “here” is not the point. It’s easy enough to find 50+ articles on the security and privacy issues with pdfs.

i only have the album art stored. The only things on most cds are the lyrics and if youre that bothered about reading them they can be googled easily enough.

Perhaps but in the context of a digital booklet for a music download which is not a legal document/contract etc, PDF does work well on most platforms, I think I’d go with 'mostly harmless unless there’s a novel malicious exploit/payload.

Interesting question though, what’s out there format wise that can replace PDF and be safer generally?
