Does one Nap 300 give good enough results driving Ovator S600 bass

My S600 journey continues with trying to build up the power amp end .Currently, serviced Nap 135s on BMR duty and 2 AVI Lab Series V2 power amps on bass. I am considering one Nap300 in place of the two AVI.(thats all finances allow at mo)
But will the Nap300 on its own be a side way step.
The system is really working now and the S600 are sounding superb

The NAP300 is OK with the S600 - but I changed from NAP300 to NAP500, and that made a very noticeable difference. Would love to go active…

I found they liked an amp that has power and control, so the better amp you can put on them the better

Hi David,
I ran my Ovators with Two Nap 300s eventually adding a third. This did improve the sound but was not a major improvement.
Not sure if this helps you or not.

The 300 fell through, but the system is sounding great as is. The addition of Nap 135s on BMR has been a resounding success ,and has elevated my opinion of this great amp.
Active S600 is a total different beast to the passive version.I have found this with every attempt at going active ,even with compromised amps,or amps with lesser spec, the reduction in noise floor and increased dynamics overrides so many other aspects .

Going active with 600’s feels like a major source upgrade. Think adding a 555PS to a 272.

I’m currently running a Atom HE > Hicap > Snaxo BMR > 2x Nap 200 > S600’s. It is a mighty system.
