Does this appear to have been serviced?

I’m finally in the process of re-acquiring an Olive Naim system. I just took delivery of a 250 and am wondering if, to the learned eyes here, this thing appears to have had a service any time in the last 10 or 15 years. Or does everything in here look entirely original? It SEEMS like it’s been recapped at some point, but honestly I don’t know. What do you think?

Oddly, the giant PSU caps have a sort of octagonal cross section at the waste. Was Naim using these around the time of
manufacture of this unit? To me, this thing looks brand spanking new inside. Like it rolled off the line last year.

Email Customer Service at Naim with the Serial No. and they will confirm if it has or hasn’t been serviced.

DG…

Also @NeilS could probably comment on those odd looking capacitors

The hexagonal caps were very common on Naim kit they seem to have come and gone but there’s nothing odd about them.

It’s either never been serviced or had an official service. Unsanctioned services never look that good inside afterwards.

Email both naim and classA to enquire if they have serviced it.

Yes, that unit has been serviced and by the looks of it within the last 9 years…

That is fantastic! What did you notice to bring you to that conclusion?

I guess Class A have a database with serial numbers that have been serviced.
