Yes, in Asarum I suppose? In Gothenburg they used NC and Neat Momentum J6 and in that system the description “noticeable” would be an understatement to say the least
Yes, the plan was to use Neat Elite Classic but they forgot to bring the feets for the speakers…
I have one on order no idea when it will arrive.
They forgot more than that, the record that was supposed to be used on the demo you were on was left in Borås, we were told They probably have a pretty high tempo right now to get all the demos done before Patrick goes back to the UK… But Instereo is usually quick to deliver, hope you get your speakers soon.
Not sure what record they used to demo the PhonoARAY but they did a second demo with a Rammstein record available on a shelf in the demo room.
I didn’t know Chord has another new product, the PhonoARAY. Thanks for the info
EE1 , EE1 Plus
, just too expensive for the bang for the buck when compared to other things that capital could be applied too, eg source upgrade or psu either of which will deliver a greater SQ improvement, albeit a perhaps greater cost but a better investment.
Just thinking aloud.

But have you tried it?
I’ve come away with one of the EE1 plus devices from the Chord factory after a visit today (to be paid for through my dealer of course) Nice upgrade. I will be slotting it into my system like this.
EE8

Phoenix Net

EE1 plus
Chord Music

Nice! I’m looking forward to auditioning when they arrive in North America.
I think that you’ll like what it does Marcus
Excellent. Can’t wait to try it out.
I’ve tried it in my system Marcus and the results were both positive and negative, I must say. On the positive side, the EE1 Plus produced a much more detailed and focused sound, but on the negative side, it ended up sounding more artificial. A bit surprising considering the initial positive impressions from the demo, but it shows, as always, the importance of trying it at home in your own system for a longer period of time than at a demo. In any case, my recommendation is: Try it.
Thanks Bjorn. I plan on trying it. With my EE1 it exhibited the same traits you describe but after about 2 weeks it seemed to show its worth. I couldn’t tell if it was the EE1 burning in or the freebie Chord C-stream. Regardless I’m curious to listen.
BTW does the EE1 plus come with a free Chord C-stream or maybe something better?
You may very well be right Marcus, the EE1 Plus I tried was brand new so who knows how it would perform after a week or two. The EE1 Plus also has a Chord C-stream so no difference there, unfortunately.
As has been mentioned here before, Naim used Chord C-Stream cables for their product launches/demos………

Nothing wrong with it of course, but as you know, there are better ones in Chord’s “portfolio”.
Indeed, as they say, you pays your money………
ATB, J
On the demo event Patrick Mitchell from Chord told me that the included c-stream cable is intended from the switch to EE1 plus then you use your own cable from EE1 plus to streamer.
I tried the CAD device last year, which I believe very similar. Your description of more detailed but strangely artificial would aptly describe my experience with the CAD. When I took my demo one back to the distributor he had one apart on the workbench. It was absolutely packed with electronics, which quite surprised me but helps explain that artificial sound.
Sometimes “different” is all we need to get exited…
