Ethernet cable test, 4 cables go head to head

Agreed, many hours most of been spent building Lego constructions.
The true technical versions came later for me, I just had a motor with a battery unit and some basic cogs.
Had a fairly extensive Mecano set, passed to me, so it was vintage then. Green & Red metalwork, with a clockwork motor if I recall.
It’s still in my parent’s loft, along with my Scalextric set

It’s a new one Simon. Still sounds very good.

I lost touch with this thread while I was traveling and getting sick in Ghana.

So @Dunc what was the outcome of the head-to-head test?
Which, if any is staying in your system?
Did you try a Chord Music Streaming cable?

Was brought up on mecano from age 3 and lego. Earliest memories are building this stuff early in the morning. Have two scalextric sets which I set up every now and again!

Yes tried the music.
I have since got myself a secondhand omega at a quite reasonable price compared to new.

Very good. I will have re-read of the complete thread to understand your choice at this level.

I got my Chord Sarum Tuned Array streaming cable 2nd hand, which feeds my NDS, and at a good price. I also have Chord Anthem streaming to my UltraRendu running the SonoreUPnP Bridge and AudioQuest Vodka from the wall into the EtherREGEN,

Just taken delivery of a Crystal Clear Audio Magnum Opus 3 BNC Digital cable, bought as a ex-demo cable from Audiogon.
A 6N silver coax cable for the 10MHz OCXO signal into the EtherREGEN. At a new price of US$1,275 it would be a bit excessive, but I was able to get an excellent deal, at a good fraction of list price.

Just warming up it, with some Roger Water’s Lockdown Sessions.

The Ansuz A2 power cord replacing Powerline in the Ansuz D2 Powerswitch has been a dramatic change to be honest. I’ve got even more depth and details now. I have no idea how a switch can react this much on a power cord for a switch but it does. Ansuz is doing very good products indeed. Sad I’ve been missing out on this for all these years.

Probably because it’s a screened cable?

Must be more even though that is one thing I’m sure. I wonder how the system would sound with this cable on all positions :open_mouth: Will move it around on naim boxes onwards but it’s been an hectic month with cable testing so now I’m in music mode

Is that the industrial ruggedised switch that is so beloved of Japanese audiophiles ?

Maybe, not sure when or if i will even get it now to try, as it looks like a few are infront off me, and it will get sold if anyone wants it.
But we will see if it turns up or not.

M12 Switch Gold is discontinued for over a year now and replaced by a supposedly upgraded version of it, the M12 Switch Premium. Price is also upgraded to €5150…

Another contender : Silent Angel Genesis GX Switch and additional clock. Curious about it.

Have you compared your Telegartner switch to other ones? Curious.

Nope.

I returned the Chord Array today myself…not one tiny bit of difference with it in place.

That was my experience when I had one.

I would also be interested if anyone has heard this Silent Angel combination. I use Silent Angel Bonn F8 with Forrester power supply (similar to Chord EE8).
