I had a chap come over and collect a Rega Planar 3 in the week. An ex army guy around late 40’s early 50’s, really interesting chap and had a rough time over the last couple of years following the early loss of his wife. I demoed the RP3 on the Olive set up into the A5’s. Marvin Gaye ‘What’s going on’.
He was a chuffed as anyone could be and told me he’d never heard MG sound so clear, and explained it was one of his wife’s favourites.
It made me realise just how lucky we are to be able to hear music so well with our chosen kit.
