I am waiting for atomic-level fireworks at Maclaren later in the year when O and L inevitably decide they both have priority on a bit of tarmac. Z seem certain it will happen and even more certain that the team can handle it. Time will tell.
As for who wins the championship, it is too early to tell and remains a 3 way fight at the moment.
We’ll also have to see if the running order stays the same during the whole season. Last year it didn’t. And also if the rule changes for Spain will have any effect on any of the teams. There’s two thirds of the season still to go after that. As you say, too early to tell.
What a joke this is. It is supposed to be the governing body of motor sport, not some kind of despotic autocracy providing cover of legitimacy for a tyrant.
As the FIA is based in an EU country, I wonder what the EU Commission will say about this proposed change.
Another thought is, will this be the issue that finally convinces F1 and the constructors to split with the FIA, which has been close to happening before? Or at least start the process to force a backdown. There could be interesting times ahead, as they say.
