Hoe big are the fascia changes between the 2013 XS2 and a 2004 Nat05?
The finish is a bit different - the XS2 has a brushed anodised alloy fascia, whereas the fascia on the 2004 NAT05 is a painted zinc/magnesium casting.
Not big enough to worry about imo.
It might be just the lighting, but on the more recent stuff, I see a big difference in the surface of the middle third of the front panels (very smooth) compared to the outer sections (vertical flecks) - just look on the Naim website.
On my older kit, all three sections look basically the same. Mixing older and newer on a rack with short legs might therefore be noticeable, though I’ve not tested this theory yet.
