My room is also doing this 3d thing - always has done so. Don’t know how he is doing it - think it’s the acoustics here and maybe even not intended in the music, but I like it. It’s not always, but with some songs there is surround sound.

Perhaps connected with soundwaves bouncing off the wall behind the listening position?
And/or a ghost rear speaker effectively encoded within the music as an intended or unintended effect of the recording process?
Sounds like piano, bass and drums are being played in front of me.

Behind my listening position is a bay with v heavy lined velvet curtains…….I wouldn’t expect much reflection here

I also concur with all that has been said about the current FW. I spend some time this afternoon re-tweaking my speaker positioning to really pin-point that sweet- spot using the following track, “ I heard it through the Grapevine “ by Bill Frisell.. all I can say is that my system seems as though it’s been supercharged with amazing holographic imaging and sound stage.
Give it a listen and get that lead Guitar bang in the centre … the result is beautiful overall sound.

Did you do this on purpose, or do you have the same problem as I have? That the app does this spontaneously.

I do that as well, especially on the Core when playing my self composed play lists.
I really like the energy I can feel in the track Pipe Down.
I don’t know how it sounded in 3.12. But it sounds extremely good in 3.13.

I had a couple of very dodgy days in terms of SQ… while playing music more or less 24/7.
Then this morning I did some cable dressing and everything sounded better.
Then I just put the following track on and the piano and other instruments are just spellbinding.
A huge rich floaty soundstage…with brilliant scale and tonality of double bass reproduction.
Best ever SQ.

I’ve made the jump not 100% sure how I feel yet but think I prefer it. May have to change the balance for the first time since the current system was installed, going to do a power off/on before changing anything.
Update: so all yesterday my music sounded like it was coming from the far right rather than central and the highs sounded a little rough/harsh. I did prefer the increased mid bass/bass compared to the previous. Also think it sounds more organic like I remember it used to before the .10 update. Just did a two minute power cycle and my music is balanced again and the roughness is completely gone. Obviously don’t want to jump to conclusions but I think I can definitely say I prefer this update now. Definitely going to do a power cycle after every update going forward.

On all previous updates I’ve ended up doing a full reset, which seems to normalise the firmware faster. However, for 3.13 I just did the update and ran with it. It was fine for about a week and then I had two days where it sounded terrible but it’s now back to sounding great again.
In fact a funny coincidence, I’ve just come back from a friends house this afternoon and he couldn’t get his router to recognise his ND player, so we ended up doing a full factory reset on it. That sorted the problem out and his system is now up and running again and sounding fantastic.

Was that easy and did it take long?
I asked DuckDuckGo about this and got this response which is way clearer than anything Naim has offered in manuals
Both a little ‘nail biting’ and easy at the same time. Turn off both supplies, then hold the two middle buttons on the ND555 (play & select) whilst turning on the supplies. As soon as you see the start up screen let go. Then just follow the on screen instructions.
On a few occasions the system has seemed unresponsive at the end of the reset. Turning the power supplies off and on again seems to cure this.

Haven’t had a lot time of time to actually listen intently but have over the last few days and I think there’s an improvement in sound quality. Both files through my Core and streaming from Qobuz seem to be more focused, I’m quite happy with my Nova. What does concern me knowing that could change with the next upgrade. Best argument I’ve heard to support vinyl.
It could also be my old ears.
