Firmware 3.13.0

Same for me. I hate the “feature” and find no need for it. Naim just made it easier for us to see when it was selected. But why it gets selected is the question that needs answering.

In Roon, they have recently given us the ability to schedule “off hours” to permit garbage collection, indexing, and other tasks to run in that time window. This has been to the distinct benefit of SQ. Since it seems that some activity for the SU module is unavoidable, I wonder if Naim Team are moving that direction.

Which, obviously, is radically more code to create and integrate on such a small SoC.

I offered my help in finding the source of the problem by installing the TestFlight app on my iPad, bu they said they had enough testers.

Update popped up on my streamer this morning. Anyone running it yet?

App update 8.2.1 is also available in the Apple App Store…

Who’s going first with the firmware?

Works fine for me on Atom and 333.

Ditto NDX2

I’m going to wait a day or two, I don’t like change!

It works good.

The “Presto music” button is in the menu.

Haven’t noticed much change yet except for the additional icon for Presto music…

Oh dear… Started the update 25 minutes ago on my ND5XS2. Nothing seems to happen. LED is still green and did not go to blue. No automatic restart or anything. The app can’t connect anymore. The diagnostics page is no longer reachable.

Wow, that was scary. I power-cycled the ND5XS2 after 40 minutes and than started the update again. Now everything went like it should and it is running 3.13 now.

Update went smoothly with my NDX2 and it is working normally now. Can’t tell any difference.

There was also an update of the Focal & Naim app and initial impressions are positive, at least in terms of connecting to the NDX2 from various Apple devices.

Scary!! Glad to hear the power cycle fixed it! I was going to suggest that. I remember you said your mains cable was difficult to reach.

Shouldn’t the update be offered when switching on the component?

Indeed, but recently I added an IsoTek V5 Gemini and that has a power switch. I put it in a place that I can easily reach

Not really, because it’s the app that controls the updates. And how would it work with an ND5XS2?

Update for NDX2 went well, Presto very good, already found a new Sonny Rollins album!

Until the Qb2 update comes along can play Presto by multi rooming from the NDX2.

Got you, and just found the download in the app.
