I currently have on loan a pair of focal aria 926s.
Midrange is certainly a strong point with the Focals
I have little to complain about them.
They seem to gel exceptionally well with my naim XS2.
Treble can get a little harse with some music, but I expect things will settle after a proper burn-in.
Given that speakers characterise the sound of a system more than any other component such It is unsurprising that cost is not a direct indication of how any individual will perceive the desirability of their sound (other than perhaps moving up a range with a ‘house’ character).
