Well, the cost of solid wood over 32sqm is a non-starter really (with 10% wastage on top even more so). SWMBO hates the thought of spillages or the dog potentially scratching the surface, so I think it’s LVT and the type that sticks onto a prepared floor. That costs as much as click-fit engineered wood which I’d prefer but must admit that the thought of it starting to look a bit rough round the edges in a few years is not appealing to me either.
