Focal Headphones question

My 40 year old Koss Pro 4X Plus headphones are finally ready for retirement. I rarely use them and only with my Nakamichi DR1. Which wired Focal cans would be adequate for occasional use. I no longer have a headline and do not wish to acquire another.

Thanks for suggestions.

If it were me; focal listen. Online £188.

With most Focal headphones, you need to find a way to protect the headband material. It is not changeable and I’d imagine after twelve months it looks grotty. For me, it’s a major design fail; you can change the earpads, but not the headband. Why?

A very good point about replaceable foam filled headbands. In the 20 odd years I had my HD650 phones I replace the foam band a few times. I now have Meze Empyreans with a leather band which should outlive me!!

Yeah, I agree. I got a couple of headband covers that are compatible with my Clear Mg headphones.
It should have had a leather cover from the start.

It wasn’t the only design fault with the original Clear.
The cable became twisted and the wire within fractured.
I believe the MG has a rubberised outer.
If you were not an intensive headphone user and the breakage happened after one year Focal would not replace.
Still here and unused,Focal if you want to change your mind.
Like Manlad I use Empyreans.
